Shout Out Sunday

Shout Out Sunday

Tonight I will shout out to a good friend of mine.
Kelly Flanagan McCormick
Kelly is a remarkable woman. Kelly and I were sorority sisters at Brenau Women's College. Last year Kelly's baby boy Peyton was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Kelly was EVERYTHING that Peyton and his baby sister Mackenzie needed, she never fell short, she never thought of herself. A few months ago- Peyton won his battle. He is probably sitting in Jesus' lap right now. Kelly has been through so much. Last night she gave birth to Peyton's baby brother Conner, who Peyton named months ago. I pray for Kelly and her family everyday of my life. I hope that you will too!

I absolutely cannot wait to post tomorrows blog entry. The theme is ,"Memory Lane Monday". It is going to be my best entry yet! PLEASE don't forget to read it.

What's on my heart today:

If you are a mom, chances are you are probably a lot like me. I worry about my babies all of the time. When there is nothing to worry about.... I invent something. God's word says that we should not do this. The one thing that is the most important- we sometimes let fall pretty low on our priority list. We have to pray for our children each day. All the things we worry about--- guess what? We don't need to pray about the worries we have- we simply pray for God's plan to unfold in their lives. I know that his plan is perfect, and no matter what it includes-- that plan is exactly what I want for them. The hardest thing for us to do is the best thing in the world for our children- simply give them to God and let go. Stop worrying. God gave them to us in the first place- they are all HIS perfect creation.

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life will be given over to the Lord. - 1 Samuel 1: 27-28

I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow and don't forget to check back for Memory Lane Monday!
